Pens safe; Bettman turns to Phoenix

The slash seemed marginal at best, but noticed refs now calling slashes that don't break stick if stick is knocked out of hands. So now I seem to be seeing more players seemingly forfeiting their stick after a slash trying to draw a penalty.

Whatever the case, it wasn't a good call for the first penalty of the game. Of course, Pens scored.

As to the Fedorov interference on Orpik, that was a complete joke since Orpik initiated contact. Can you be interfered with if you hit first? Maybe the rules read their must be a distinct initiating contact.

Caps needed an early goal and couldn't get it, despite furious end of 1st period play. 2nd period opens with immediate goal, and from there, they couldn't summon the energy, and, most importantly, stopped hitting. They also didn't get a single power play all game, which is hard to believe. It was 4-0 Pittsburgh, on Washington's home ice. I think that's all that needs to be said. Except -- FUCK YOU BETTMAN. THE WNBA NEEDS YOU.

Is it possible Bettman even ever played hockey?

I'm glad Versus picked up my rants vs Semin -- what a POS.

But Pens played better, esp on defense. Too bad -- best Cup series I think would have been Caps-BlackHawks, tho Canes and Bruins playing interestingly at times.

  1. actually one of those was a double minor, but point taken. Refs ruin game with phantom call, which leads to power play goal. Caps' minds are out of it, which leads to goal 8 seconds later.

    miserable performance by the refs.

As far as I'm concerned, in a game seven you swallow your whistle, unless a player clubs another over the head. just shut the fuck up and watch.

    save hockey, kill a ref.
