Bettman's Chickens are Roosting

Ha ha dummy.

You suspend Brashear but not Holmstrom to protect your favored Red Wings. Wisniewski is pissed off and you better hope he doesn't make it back into the series, cause once on the ice, no way these two stay apart given their styles of play. Nice going.

And here is where it all leads ... just a measly 200-400 thousand people watching the games on Versus. (Apparently NBC is done with its coverage and is turning to GOLF this weekend). How freaking pathetic.

I also can't see how its worth $70 million annually to Versus to pay for the rights. Wouldn't a fishing show or infomercial make for better economics?

But the bottom line is that even pro bowling outdraws NHL playoff hockey -- how much lower of an indictment can you get?

And even more sadly, on NBC, the NHL draws on a par with arena football, which was the butt of every sports joke until the WNBA came along.

Nice going, Bettman. Now that George Bush is finally gone, I don't need someone around who reminds me of him. Get lost please. Or stick around and do everything the opposite of your instincts.
